Hmmmmm. . .

Jen was pointing out to me the other day that 'stressed' spelled backwards is 'desserts'. . . Apropos of exactly what, I'm not sure. . .

  4. Wow, three comments in the first 15 minutes! I seem to have struck some sort of nerve here. . . ;)

So, if I understand it correctly, spelling it backwards serves to 'undo' the stressed-ness, is that it?

  5. That's weird; I've never noticed it before. I tend to eat dessert no matter what my mood though.

  6. Not so sure it un-does it as much as it changes the subject .... I think?

  7. Xavier - Well, when it comes to stress, changing the subject can be pretty close to the same thing as 'un-doing', can't it?

  8. Well, asparagus, when said backwards, is cigarettes, and vice-versa. In case you haven't heard the evidence of this assertion...

What it proves, I have no idea :-)

  9. Suldog - Sorta like 'Number Nine' said backwards is 'Turn me on, dead man,', huh?

That's a real head-scratcher, tho, isn't it? I mean, asparagus is so good for you, and cigarettes. . . well, you know. . .

    ;)
